Ethylene-propylene rubber (EPDM) are counted as a high volume material.

It consists of two varieties. EPM is a copolymer of ethylene and propylene and EPDM is a thermostat (formed of three monomers) polymer of ethylene, propylene and a small amount of diene which accounts for the unsaturation is necessary for the rubber to be vulcanized with sulfur. Uses for EPDM is in a variety of products such as O-rings, gaskets, window seals, door seals, other rubber seals, conduits, roll covers, boots, belts, hoses, rubber plugs and grommets.
